From October 7-9, ADVI Health experts Marc Samuels, Caitlin Sheetz, Alicia Silver, Stacey Gilbert, Tara Southwell, and Louis Jacques will be attending the Association for Value-Based Cancer Care (AVBCC) 16th Annual Summit in New York, NY. While there, the ADVI team will meet with clients and colleagues to discuss the latest developments in oncology and how to improve access and quality of cancer treatments.

Wednesday, October 7
  • 5 pm ET: US vs. China, Preserving our National Treasure: Clinical Research: This panel will explore what can be done to protect America clinical research and barriers we need to address and what solutions we have the power to implement, joined by Louis Jacques as a panelist
Thursday, October 8
  • 9 am ET: Pharmaceutical Industry Leadership Organizations’ Outlook: Industry leadership discusses the most impactful headwinds ahead for the cancer care ecosystem and patients, moderated by Marc Samuels
  • 9 am ET: The $2-3 Million Infusion: Why the Cell and Gene Therapy “Tsunami” Will Break the Payer Model: The panel will examine several issues; one the lack of coverage and standardized process to approve a patient’s therapy and the lack of consistent and fair reimbursement. The panel will also examine alternates such as “carve-outs,” outcomes-based contracting, and how disruptors are reshaping the marketplace for high-cost therapies, moderated by Alicia Silver
  • 1 pm ET: The New Paradigm – Digitally Enabled, Genomics-First, Value-Based Cancer Care: Panelists discuss implementation strategies, change management, patient centric care across the care journey, and the future of employer-driven cancer care innovation. Stakeholders will discuss coverage policy, operational barriers, state legislation, and strategies to ensure patients receive appropriate testing when it matters most, joined by Stacey Gilbert as a panelist
  • 6 pm ET: From Dataset to Decision: Turning Evidence Into Policy: This session examines how providers, advocacy organizations, and industry stakeholders can use real-world evidence and economic analyses to influence legislative and regulatory decisions, joined by Caitlin Sheetz as a panelist
