July 27, 2023, ADVI Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Ben Shand as the head of business development. In his new position, Ben will develop, manage, and execute a strategy for growth by strengthening existing relationships while pursuing new organizations across multiple life sciences, managed services, and financial services sectors.
Ben brings a depth of experience to his new role. Prior to joining ADVI, he served as associate vice president of real-world data and solutions at Inovalon. Before Inovalon, he spent time in senior roles at Avalere Health, NSF Health Sciences, and Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), leading life science client relationships, alongside his advisory services colleagues, supporting developments in policy, commercialization, regulatory, medical affairs, and patient access to inform business strategies.
“Ben’s addition to ADVI signifies a new path forward. His experience and leadership will help ADVI achieve a new level of client service and growth we have been working towards since December 2022,” said Marc Samuels, CEO and president of ADVI. “We are thrilled to have someone of Ben’s caliber and reputation work alongside Sarah Butler to build our first ever sales and account management teams. It is a necessary and welcome step in our growth journey essential for our organization and our future plans.”
Ben’s unique experience serving diverse client types across life sciences, managed and financial services sets him apart to be successful in his new role. He will work alongside our advisory services teams to further understand ADVI client needs and create content and data solutions to better serve them in achieving their business objectives and short- and long-term goals.
“I am excited about joining the ADVI team and the opportunity before us. ADVI has an entrepreneurial culture and rich base of clients who trust the team here to meet critical business objectives. I intend to draw on my career experience serving an array of customer types within healthcare to help shape the growth of the business.” said Ben. “I look forward to getting to know our clients, their business needs, and their objectives for improving patient outcomes.”
Ben is the third major executive to join ADVI since our partnership with Sheridan Capital Partners was announced and reaffirms ADVI’s commitment to prioritizing growth while ensuring our trusted clients always come first.
