ADVI Health is seeking a Senior Manager, Policy, Research and Analysis with health policy expertise in drugs and biologics, market access expertise, or both. An ADVI Senior Manager understands the federal and state regulatory bodies and payers, including CMS, Medicare, Medicaid and state healthcare programs. The Senior Manager will monitor, research, and analyze policy developments in areas affecting pharmaceutical pricing, coverage and reimbursement, including Medicare Part B and D, Medicaid, the Inflation Reduction Act, 340B and Prescription Drug Affordability Boards. He/she will be responsible for the day-to-day management of content creation and delivery to clients, leading internal and advisor teams to drive client deliverables to completion within expected timeframes and budget, and handling client inquiries. A background in drugs and biologics, drug pricing, coverage, reimbursement, benefit (public and private payers) along with an appreciation for the patient, provider, and industry group perspectives that shape policy, is a necessity.
The Policy Solution work spans drugs, biologics, cell and gene therapies and vaccines with product-specific issues across all therapeutic areas (e.g., oncology, diabetes, rheumatology, neurology, and rare and ultra-rare diseases). The team leverages its network of advisors, which include operators, industry professionals, payers, policymakers and clinicians, to complement the team’s know-how to provide highly specialized advice and counsel to our clients to answer ADVI’s clients’ most pressing business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and analyze policy developments in various areas that affect pharmaceutical reimbursement, including Medicare Part B, Medicare Part D, the Inflation Reduction Act, Medicaid, Prescription Drug Affordability Boards, 340B, etc.
- Create client deliverables, including policy summaries, memos, excel databases, and slides
- Identify and present client-specific impact of policy developments
- Collaborate with the policy team to develop same-day summaries of notable policy developments (e.g., major HHS rules)
- Staff ongoing retainer relationships: serve as the point-of-contact for clients, field research requests, and lead the development of deliverables to address inquiries
- Assist project managers on standalone research projects/project-based accounts (e.g., clinical asset reviews, fiscal analyses of policy changes, coverage and reimbursement assessments)
- Interface with ADVI Advisors to distill real-world implications of policy issues and translate findings into client deliverables
- Lead internal and advisor teams to drive client deliverables to completion within expected timelines and budget
- Serve as the day-to-day client lead on multiple clients and projects supporting multiple ADIV engagements
- Manage or conduct primary and secondary market research to address client/project objectives
- Develop and mentor junior members on his/her project teams
Competencies

Education
- College degree
- Advanced degree preferred in health policy, public policy, health economics, healthcare management, public health, public administration or a relevant discipline. A combination of bachelor’s degree and in-depth relevant work experience is also acceptable
Experience
- 7 to 10 years of experience, which could include employment by a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company, consulting firm, relevant trade group or advocacy organization
- Deep knowledge and understanding of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry
Location
Candidates can be based anywhere in the U.S., with a preference for those in the Eastern or Central Standard Time Zone. Candidates based in Washington, DC or Austin, TX, will the option of hybrid work.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range is $145k – $165k with up to 15% bonus potential, depending on experience and qualifications. Exceptionally qualified candidates will be evaluated according to experience levels.
