Derek Starzynski

In his role within the accounting team at ADVI Health, Derek collaborates closely with the controller, contributing significantly to daily accounting operations. Leveraging his extensive proficiency in the accounting software employed, he actively engages in automating processes and implementing new protocols to reinforce them. Additionally, Derek maintains regular communication with the CFO and other top-level executives, ensuring that the provided information remains pertinent and valuable for decision-making, thereby supporting ADVI’s strategic objectives and growth endeavors.

Prior to joining ADVI, Derek served as the controller at a flourishing startup based in Austin, TX, where he spearheaded the accounting department. His professional journey commenced in his hometown of Chicago, where he initially worked as a Bookkeeper at Identiti. Subsequently, he ventured to Austin, TX, assuming the role of accountant at the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce.

Outside of his dedicated work at ADVI Health, Derek cultivates a rich personal life. He proudly fulfills the role of a devoted “Dog Dad” to his two cherished girls, Rosie and Carmela. In addition to his professional pursuits, Derek is embarking on a new academic journey, as he is set to begin pursuing his MBA starting this fall. Beyond academia, Derek is an avid amateur bodybuilder, enthusiastic traveler, and unwavering football fan, showing fervent support for the legendary Hook ’em Horns every fall.
