As advisor for Financial Services, Farooq is responsible for serving ADVI’s financial sponsor clients as they conduct diligence on acquisition targets across a variety of healthcare subsectors. Farooq serves as the firm’s point person to private equity investors and marshals the firm’s subject matter expertise and data resources to help clients think through their investment theses.
Life Pre-ADVI Health:
Farooq has worked for 15 years across several financial services roles in asset management, investment banking, and M&A advisory consulting. He spent four years at Avalere’s financial services practice advising private equity clients on over $25 billion worth of transactions.
Life Beyond ADVI Health:
Farooq lives in New York with his wife and daughter. He enjoys museum visits with his daughter, giving walking tours of Manhattan, debate club, and the theater.

Farooq is an advisor for financial services with more than 16 years of experience in several financial services roles including asset management, investment banking, and M&A advisory consulting. With this vast knowledge, Farooq supports ADVI clients with expertise and counsel as they conduct diligence on acquisition targets across a variety of healthcare subsectors.
Farooq joins ADVI after most recently serving as the associate principal of M&A Advisory at Avalere Health.
He has a BSFS in International Political Economy from Georgetown University and an MBA in Corporate Finance from the University of Notre Dame.
